Modernize is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Product Manager to accelerate growth by building on the foundation of our conversion rate optimization program. The Product Manager values user experiences that are streamlined and effective, helping our audiences achieve their objectives.

In this role, you will lead a small team of designers, engineers, QA, and analysts to optimize our landing pages and user flows to help homeowners connect with contractors to complete their home improvement projects. This role will interact with the entire organization, from sales to marketing to account managers.

What you'll do:

  • Establish testing standards and processes to improve conversion rate, volume and quality, and overall experience for contractors and homeowners

  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, lead quality, and user experience

  • Detailed conception and specification, including cost-benefit-calculation, of new features and functionalities as well as ensuring timely implementation, quality, and performance

  • Facilitate the creation of prototypes, interactive mock-ups, and full pixel-perfect designs of user workflows and landing pages for multiple screen sizes

  • Understand the profile metrics you have access to and what can be customized to make for a better user experience and conversion.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering throughout the development lifecycle to deliver iterations that meet the highest quality bar

  • Analyze funnels across Organic, Paid Search, Affiliate, and Native Advertising campaigns with multi-million dollar budgets

  • Develop a pipeline of test ideas with clear hypotheses, estimated cost / benefit and prioritize to build a roadmap that can be shared across the company

  • Clearly communicate priorities, decisions, and outcomes

  • Collaborate with marketing leads to develop and facilitate marketing asset pipeline.

What you need:

  • A proven ability to identify opportunities and to solve problems using data

  • Proven ability to optimize user experiences and conversion funnels

  • Solid understanding of, or desire to learn, user-centered design principles, UX research methodologies and interactive design patterns related to web and mobile design

  • A strong understanding of statistics; the ability to separate causation from correlation

  • Experience launching and analyzing concurrent high-volume A/B tests across a variety of channels

  • Experience in agile and / or kanban methodology

  • Proficient with design, testing and analytics tools, including:

  • VWO, Optimizely, Adobe Test & Target

  • Google Analytics, Heap Analytics, Adobe Analytics

  • Invision

  • QlikView, Tableau, Google Data Studio

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript

  • Experience with design software like Sketch and Photoshop

  • SQL experience and the ability to run ad-hoc data analysis
