Unity Technologies is looking for a Product Manager with a passion for games and a drive to deliver new features and services that solve hard problems for developers using the Unity engine. At Unity Austin you'll be working on a team that is responsible for all stages of Unity's game and content build and delivery pipeline, including editor features and online services for content hosting as well as build management, sharing, and deployment to 3rd party app stores.
As a Product Manager at Unity, you will drive the product vision and strategy for Unity engine features and developer services. You will work closely with Engineering, Marketing and Sales - as well as customers - to compile product requirements, manage the product roadmap, manage the delivery of product features, and assess impact.
Responsibilities
- Assemble product requirements from multiple sources (e.g. strategic planning, developer feedback, usability, sales, competitive assessment) understanding current and future customer needs
- Capture and technically document feature requests from an array of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Write use cases, functional specifications and other feature descriptions
- Participate in daily engineering work in the role of Product Owner
- Work with UX/UI designers to develop workflow diagrams, storyboards and wireframes
- Assist in building business cases and analytical insight for new business initiatives: this requires identifying key issues, quantitatively analyzing related metrics, and communicating results
Requirements
- Solid experience in product management and/or software engineering
- Experience in creation of new software products or services
- Technical knowledge and ability to effectively communicate and discuss technical requirements with engineers
- The ideal candidate will have exceptional product management and leadership skills, with strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Must be great team player that works well in collaborative situations
- Sound business judgment and ability to build business case around a product or service
