Pingboard is looking for a talented Product Manager to join our team in Austin. In this critical role, you will work closely with the Director of Product to deliver outstanding features that measurably increase the value that Pingboard delivers. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, thorough Product Manager who loves building and refining well-crafted software for the workplace alongside a talented, friendly team of engineers and designers.

Our Product Team works in 6-week Seasons (similar to Basecamp’s Cycles). We think through problems carefully and define solutions that allow us to release and iterate quickly, while still building a solid foundation. We collaborate to set reasonable goals, balance building new features with refactoring and refining, and safeguard the team’s time once priorities are set. We are an emphatic, customer-centric team who understands that we must always be thinking about future customers, too.

You’re excited about this role because you’ll:

●  Thoroughly understand what jobs companies hire Pingboard to do
●  Be an expert on the app’s technical complexities, data analytics, user feedback, design language, and product strategy
●  Work with engineering and design on feature delivery: define requirements, write user stories, estimate and plan, and document decisions
●  Work closely with design on feature discovery: create user story maps, analyze data, talk with customers, create mockups and prototypes
●  Define success metrics and make data-driven decisions
●  Test new features and provide feedback on functionality and user experience
●  Write UI and email copy, release notes, feature announcements, and blog posts
●  Partner with our Customer Experience and Sales & Marketing teams to to ensure customers are successful with new features and improvements
●  Communicate frequently and effectively to all levels of the company, including presentations and demos
●  Learn and grow in a highly collaborative environment
●  Materially impact our success

We’re excited about you because you:

●  Have 2+ years product management experience building high-quality software from inception to launch, ideally in B2B SaaS
●  Have a heart for customers and a deep well of empathy that you share from often
●  Have a track record of helping cross-functional teams be successful each day, resulting in high-quality work, notable accomplishments, and a supportive, joyful environment
●  Have experience with user testing, drawing actionable insights from data, and interviewing customers
●  Know how to choose between essential and nice-to-have features, adopting best practices and innovating, and improvements needed for a great user experience and iteration rabbit holes
●  Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
●  Curate feature requests and backlogs with aplomb
●  Have in-depth understanding of web technologies
●  Are curious, creative, organized, detail-oriented, and a determined problem solver
●  Possess a perpetual desire to improve products and processes
●  Listen intently, communicate effectively, and learn perpetually
●  Have a 4-year degree, or experience as a designer or engineer prior to becoming a product manager

Extra credit:

●  A love of mobile apps and opportunities
●  Proficiency in SQL
●  Experience with Chartio
●  Experience running app environments locally
●  Enjoy sharing knowledge internally and externally
●  Experience with Pingboard in a previous role
