Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Product Engineering Team. As Product Manager, your mission is to define product release requirements, and be responsible for running all Scrum ceremonies, operational reviews, and product planning to enable our Product Engineering teams to rapidly and reliably build solutions with low to no code.
The Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team that is responsible for managing a platform of business services and functionality for small business owners. The scope of this role extends from maximizing the experience and profitability of existing services to developing new services that drive product market fit and customer engagement. You will build a platform of business services from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your product and industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the willingness to do what it takes to make that vision a reality.
You must be able to work effectively with all areas of the company in a small, co-working environment. You also must be able to effectively manage your priorities and time. You will work within the product and technology organization, in addition to external stakeholders, to define product requirements, and will be responsible for running all Scrum ceremonies, operational reviews, and product planning. You must possess an intellectual curiosity and be prepared to develop a testable hypothesis on all decisions being made. What Your Responsibilities Would Be:
Product Management (60%)
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with the Product Engineering team to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Translating product strategy into detailed requirements and flowcharts
Provide visibility to company.com senior leadership regarding current priorities, roadmap, and status
Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to rollout and ongoing operations
Define and measure KPIs, making the appropriate recommendations to improve the most critical measurements
Manage a prioritized backlog of well-groomed user stories
Accept all stories to production and ensure releases continue to add value
Create, lead, and partner with UXD to field quantitative and qualitative research studies that lead us to better decision making
Participate in creating annual strategic plans
Create and maintain a prioritized backlog
Enhance existing products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your product management skillset and industry experience as well as your contact with customers and prospects
Understand the market and competitive landscape to ensure the delivery of best in class products and experiences
Maintain a consistent and up to date point of view on the current product experience and provide recommendations for short term and long term improvements
Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your products and services
Initiate and review market research to better understand and define customer needs as well as the competitive landscape for your product segment
Project Management (30%)
Lead all relevant agile/scrum sprint ceremonies
Ensure team capacity and velocity and frequently adjusted based on actual results, using sprint burndown and burnup charts, and communicate status to the organization
Other (5%)
Act as the Product and Technology point of contact for Customer Success. Field requests and issues and prioritize / escalate as necessary to Technology or Development as appropriate
Manage Strategic Relationships with Technology Partners such as Application Corp and Office Dive. Review/Monitor performance against agreements/SLAs and provide visibility to executive leadership on the same
Business Development (5%)
Maintain existing and foster new relationships with external 3rd party vendors providing business services on the platform
Conduct build/buy/partner analyses related to new products and enhancements to existing products
What Requirements Do You Need:
1+ years of experience in product management, with progressive growth and demonstrated success launching new products and improving customer experiences with existing product lines
1+ years of experience working with software engineering teams and the Software Development Life Cycle
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to manage up
Knowledge of software tools such as Jira, Zeplin, and LucidChart
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be a good listener and team player
