Product Manager

We are looking for a product manager to drive the delivery of database release automation capabilities that are secure, powerful, and easy to use to further accelerate the growth of Liquibase.  The product manager will work with customers, our open source community and Liquibasers from all departments to continually improve Liquibase products and to stay ahead of market shifts so no one is ever waiting on us to catch up.

The ideal candidate:

• Is customer focused!
• Has been a product manager at a software company building B2B or B2C applications 
• Has experience increasing the adoption of SaaS solutions in a product led growth model
• Has good habits in product ideation and execution: hypothesis development; data collection & analysis; requirements gathering; backlog grooming; success metric definition & collection
• Communicates clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Is organized, scrappy, and execution-oriented.

What you'll do: 

• Define requirements, write user stories, prioritize the backlog and manage the feature roadmap for your domain of the overall product strategy, working closely with an agile dev team 
• Amplify the voice of the customer throughout the company by working cross-functionally on persona development, customer journey mapping and customer outreach
• Expand available customer data and use it to drive decision making and measure success
• Increase the value of our products and improve product market fit through product experimentation

Your background and skill set:

• 5+ years of product management experience
• Experience in SaaS or Cloud Native product management
• Experience developing and delivering customer experiences as a database administrator, a developer or other technical role
• A strong understanding of Automation, CICD and DevOps
• Sharp interview skills developed by conducting a lot of  user, stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews
• Extensive experience writing & refining product requirements to produce predictable product outcomes
• Ability to guide your requirements from definition to production, managing schedules and expectations along the way
• An incredible talent for cross functional collaboration particularly with the marketing, sales, engineering and customer success teams
• A habit of making data-driven decisions through market research, user interviews, competitive analysis and experimentation

Credentials:

• A Bachelor’s degree OR relevant experience required.
