Role Description

Dropbox is hiring a Product Operations Principal to support the Product team and interface with Product’s partner teams (Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Support, etc.) and make it more efficient by streamlining processes and managing data and technology. This includes streamlining communication within the Product team and with other parts of the company, standardizing planning and other processes, putting together onboarding and training programs, best practices and support resources. 

 

This role will have an opportunity to launch and scale a product operations system for Dropbox’s core business, which spans a portfolio of products around storing, syncing, and sharing. In this role, you will build, launch, and manage systems of operation for Dropbox’s product development organization, focused on supporting the product management function. 

 

The ideal person for this role will be strongly oriented toward customer service, with a deep skillset in building and cultivating strong, trusted relationships with cross-functional partners, and influencing executives and teams. They will have a passion for building systems that make life easier and more efficient for our product teams, enabling them to focus on building the best experience for our users and customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage systems for:
    • Goal-setting, including shared OKRs with key partners
    • Goal measurement and cascading, from 
    • Dependency management
    • Standardizing internal product updates and communications, including roadmap changes
    • Consistent PM onboarding & continuing education
  • Define operational cadences within the product organization, cascading from the GM executive level down to the product squad
  • Codify, document, and share product management best practices, methodologies, and tools, serving as an internal expert on supporting systems for PM
  • Identify tools and software to automate operational workflows, where applicable
  • Partner with data science and data engineering to systematize product dashboards to make it easy for teams to launch and manage data analysis and metrics tracking at scale
  • Manage key internal and external (e.g. API, partnerships) relationships with technical partner organizations
  • Partner with user-facing teams to develop ways for product teams to systematically engage with customers and users across the product development lifecycle

  • Articulated, maintained and published roadmap along with change management practices
  • Facilitating product adoption
  • Effective end-to-end management of user feedback

Requirements

  • 10+ years professional experience in product, operations, or program management roles
  • Has scaled and managed teams of 3+
