To strengthen our product management, we are looking for a Product Owner (m / f) who can easily put themselves in the shoes of our online retailers. This person understands the future of mobile commerce and derives measurements for the development and optimization of our product.
What You'll Do on a Daily Basis
- Actively participate as Product Owner in our cross-functional development teams
- Create requirements, definitions, and their conceptual implementation in close cooperation with UX / UI designers and software developers
- Actively support in implementing features and mobile commerce trends in an agile development environment
- Prioritize the product backlog considering our roadmap, as well as concrete requirements of our customers and the market
- Create data-based analysis of important product features and new developments
- Serve as a contact for stakeholders and software developers
- Be an internal "champion" for the supervised product, with everything that belongs to it, such as communication, documentation and presentation
The Right Fit
- At least 3 years professional experience in product management
- Experience in eCommerce, Mobile Applications, Retail, or Order Management is a very strong plus
- Experience in project and requirements management as well as agile development methods like Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with Aha! and Jira is a plus
- Very good communication and high problem solving ability
- High comprehension and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and a team player
This Job is Right for You if
- You have a background in commerce or retail
- Your verbal & written communication is clear, concise, and logical
- You have previously worked as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- You possess a technical background (STRONG plus!)
- Prior experience in SaaS or API (also strong plus)
** Shopgate has offices in Germany and Austin, TX. This role is US based and a Texas location is preferred but remote/work from home candidates will also be considered.
