The Product Owner represents Wursta and our clients in facilitating software development projects. Collaborating with each member of the team (design, development, project management), the Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the software meets the expectations of scope, timeline, and budget.
This important role on the development team requires a highly organized, outgoing, self-starter who is relentless in managing their product backlog to ensure the most value is delivered to the stakeholders within the constraints provided for each project. This person must be experienced in client services and fast-paced execution, ideally in an agency environment.
This position is located at our new office in Austin, TX. Remote employees in CO, FL, GA, IA, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, and TX may be considered.
Day-day activities include:
- Producing estimates for delivery of new customer projects
- Presenting product strategy recommendations
- Negotiating Minimum Viable Product scope
- Backlog grooming and contributing to agile delivery
- Release planning for in-flight projects
- Stakeholder expectation management
Ideal outcomes:
- Customers are happy, clear on what to expect in delivering the project, and they see the value in the work (aka bills are paid)
- The development team is happy, efficiently working together to deliver software that meets milestones and stakeholder expectations
Must have:
- Currently working in a similar role
- 3+ years of experience delivering software projects
- 2+ years of experience in client services
- Working knowledge of the full SDLC and agile methodologies
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Technical background, software development or similar
- Experience in GCP
