Amherst is hiring for an energetic and highly organized Project Manager that thrives in fast-paced environment to join our Acquisitions technology team. In this role you have a variety of duties in support of our technology team including; managing multiple complex projects concurrently, coordinating discussions with stakeholders and development teams, providing day-to-day communications and status reports, assisting with prioritization and resolution of issues, and organizing detailed project information into documentation shared by various project stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from design and development through to release and beyond

  • Support the Product Managers in requirements gathering, project documentation/ticketing, testing coordination, user training, and other related project activities

  • Plan and schedule all project deliverable's, goals and milestones and manage the project accordingly

  • Conduct daily standup meetings to support active projects and our internal development team

  • Leverage your experience to help improve existing PMO processes e.g. request intake and prioritization process

  • Manage various PMO activities such as Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, project kick-offs, and meeting notes

  • Coordinate all project communication among internal analysts, software developers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors where applicable

  • Oversee and help with the QA testing of the product (e.g. find and track bugs and liaise with the development team)

  • Prepare regular status reports for current and planned projects including resource allocation and estimated schedules for project/program implementation

  • Provide leadership to project team members in order to achieve project goals


Skills & Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Management Information Systems or a related field

  • 2-5 years of Project Management experience

  • Financial, real estate or asset management experience a plus

  • Understanding of the technical architecture of software/web applications

  • Experience working with technical developers (e.g. engineers, software developers)

  • Experience conveying complex technical/design information in simple, digestible formats to non-technical employees/team members

  • Strong analytical, organizational and coordination skills are a MUST; We desire someone with extreme multi-tasking capabilities with a “get things done” attitude and approach for every project thrown your way

  • Strong experience with project documentation and project management applications such as JIRA, Roadmunk, Confluence, Vizio, etc.

  • Intellectually curious with the ability to quickly pick up technical tools and processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
