Senior Product Manager, Data Engineering
Saatva is looking for a self-motivated Senior Product Manager that will be responsible for data modernization, improving reliability and accessibility. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and design leaders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, results-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This individual should have an understanding of an omnichannel space and e-commerce shop.
Job Responsibilities
Partner across Product, Engineering, Analytics and Business Leaders in creating the framework for how we need to better integrate our data, tools, and systems to enable sophisticated downstream capabilities across our business end to end.
Partner with your engineering squad and other stakeholders to define a longer term roadmap and break that work into smaller pieces (Epics, Stories, etc) in order to bring new capabilities to life at Saatva.
Solicit requirements from stakeholders to understand and resolve needs to move and store data to support our business operations.
Work with vendors and other third parties to enable new capabilities or enhance existing ones.
Report out progress to other team members and across the organization to showcase your team's efforts and get people excited about new data engineering work.
Build out a roadmap and plan for our data warehouse and data pipelines alongside engineering and data architects.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product management with a technical background (preferably as a developer of some sort).
Proficiency in data management and the data ecosystem (ETL, ELT, SQL, building pipelines, API integrations, etc).
Understanding of cloud architectures and the difference between OLTP and OLAP and the underlying database architecture that supports either.
Experience with API’s including refining requirements around those API integrations and validating new requirements from stakeholders.
Experience with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Heap, Fullstory or other.
Experience onboarding and integrating a Customer Data Platform (CDP).
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation, with the ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
