MongoDB is looking for an outstanding Senior Product Manager to take on a key role in our Product organization. This is a rare opportunity to join a team at the center of sales, marketing, and engineering for a breakthrough company that is disrupting a $70B market. The team leads product direction, packaging, and pricing for the fastest-growing database technology. The position will be based in our New York City office or remote.

Responsibilities
  • In this role, you will be a key leader in MongoDB product security with core responsibilities around improving data security & privacy across our global services and product suites
  • Drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap and collaborate with product teams to compile backlog based on customer needs, market data, and competitive intelligence
  • Deeply understand all aspects of the business - to ensure a business outcome aligned with our broader product, customer, and company needs
  • Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition, and technologies are evolving, and factor competitive information and customer feedback into our product direction
  • Advise senior leadership on identifying long-term emerging security opportunities in enterprise and federal markets, with a particular focus on product security and trust
  • Collaborate with product marketing, support, and sales to solve business limiters within your control and pursue key business accelerants
  • Articulate MongoDB’s security features and functionality in customer conversations
  • Demonstrate creativity, an innovative spirit, and a bias towards action
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of product management or equivalent experience with a complex technical product with deep security requirements
  • At least 5 years experience designing and defending secure modern web services & database applications
  • Hands-on experience with applied encryption technologies including key management, public key and symmetric encryption, TLS/HTTPS key exchange, digital signatures, certificates
  • Experience and demonstrated success in delivering trusted cloud services to regulated markets
  • Have the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience leading developer teams on modern backend software frameworks, such as React, Angular, ExpressJs and Java Spring
  • Understanding of various public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and their Government Cloud Equivalents
  • Ability to write, promote, and execute business cases
  • B.Sc. in a technical discipline, Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience. M.Sc. or Ph.D. in the relevant domain a plus
Nice to have
  • Domain knowledge across several compliance standards and frameworks such as FedRAMP, FIPS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, SOC2, ISO, ANSI, ETSI
  • Certifications or similar evidence of professional milestone completion and continuous training
  • Comfortable with stage presence and public speaking
  • Community support and participation to advance cloud security such as conference or meetup panels and blog or paper authorship
