You will work closely with the Data Science team to make data available to users within Duo for more informed decision making. Our ideal candidate comes from a data background and can speak the language of the team that you’ll be working with. Your key responsibilities include:
Create a product vision and roadmap partnering closely with the Data Science and Data Platform teams.
Interview users within the organization to understand the data-related problems that they have and deeply understand the data context of their use case. Align the needs of these stakeholders with sound analytics solutions when the stakeholders may not themselves be able to frame their desired value as a data problem a priori.
Produce concise business case documents, presentations and product requirements documents (PRD) that describes the cost, benefit and tradeoffs to enable effective decision making.
Build and maintain a prioritization framework for data analytics related work based on measurable inputs and objective data.
Prioritize improvements to internal data analysis systems used by teams within Duo
Collaborate with Data Scientists to monitor and react to the quality and reliability of data analytics being done across the company. Prioritize changes to process, tooling, data accessibility, consulting support, etc. to maintain the quality and accuracy of information used for decision making at Duo.
Track and communicate legal and data usage compliance requirements across various geographic regions and customer segments. Appropriately prioritize and communicate resulting changes to the analytics ecosystem or data usage policies.
Prioritize requests for data consulting based on Duo’s broader business needs.
Assess whether or not we should evolve consulting requests into tooling improvements or new projects.
Define how teams will be enabled and trained on using internal data tooling.
Align Duo’s quantitative analytics systems with Duo’s qualitative research initiatives through collaboration with the Design Research team.
Work with multiple teams to align Duo’s internal data analytics ecosystem with related systems for application logging and observability, customer management systems, and in-product data access.
