This diversity allows us to take an empathetic approach to solve some of the most complex global business and security challenges faced today.

What you’ll do…

As the Senior Product Manager for Data Analytics, you will be responsible for helping Duo make a more useful, reliable and scalable product by extracting knowledge from data. You will work closely with the Data Science team to make data available to users within Duo for more informed decision making.  Our ideal candidate comes from a data background and can speak the language of the team that you’ll be working with. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Create a product vision and roadmap partnering closely with the Data Science and Data Platform teams.

  • Interview users within the organization to understand the data-related problems that they have and deeply understand the data context of their use case. Align the needs of these stakeholders with sound analytics solutions when the stakeholders may not themselves be able to frame their desired value as a data problem a priori.

  • Produce concise business case documents, presentations and product requirements documents (PRD) that describes the cost, benefit and tradeoffs to enable effective decision making.

  • Build and maintain a prioritization framework for data analytics related work based on measurable inputs and objective data.

  • Prioritize improvements to internal data analysis systems used by teams within Duo

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to monitor and react to the quality and reliability of data analytics being done across the company. Prioritize changes to process, tooling, data accessibility, consulting support, etc. to maintain the quality and accuracy of information used for decision making at Duo.

  • Track and communicate legal and data usage compliance requirements across various geographic regions and customer segments. Appropriately prioritize and communicate resulting changes to the analytics ecosystem or data usage policies.

  • Prioritize requests for data consulting based on Duo’s broader business needs.

  • Assess whether or not we should evolve consulting requests into tooling improvements or new projects.

  • Define how teams will be enabled and trained on using internal data tooling.

  • Align Duo’s quantitative analytics systems with Duo’s qualitative research initiatives through collaboration with the Design Research team.

  • Work with multiple teams to align Duo’s internal data analytics ecosystem with related systems for application logging and observability, customer management systems, and in-product data access.

Product Managers play a highly visible role in the company and are critical to the development and execution of the product strategy. We are responsible for delivering the best experience of our users. As the product expert, you must excel at prioritization, collaboration, and communication, while being accountable for scalability, availability and quality.

Skills you have…

  • 3 years of product management experience working directly with engineering teams to plan, develop and deliver SaaS software products

  • Sufficient technical knowledge of statistics, data analysis, database fundamentals, and data visualization to elicit, synthesize, and communicate the requirements, goals, challenges and outcomes of data analytics work.

  • Experience working closely with analysts, statisticians, and/or data scientists. Hands-on data analysis experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with a variety of commercial tools and solution patterns in the data analytics space.

  • Experience with common pitfalls of data analytics solutions at large companies, an appreciation for the complexity of product data, and a strong focus on maintaining the quality of data-derived insights.

  • An interest in helping colleagues in diverse job roles (and with varying levels of comfort with data) identify the value they can derive from data, metrics, and analytics.

  • Track record of defining product success metrics and prioritizing feature development

  • Ability to use data to drive decision making while managing requests from different groups of stakeholders.

  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate positioning and technology to technical, sales and executive audiences.

Reasons why you should apply…

  • You possess a highly driven and entrepreneurial personality, with an ability to get stuff done while having a sharp mind and eye for detail.

  • You love living on the frontier of the cutting edge and inspire by creating pictures and plans for the future.

  • You are comfortable initiating and managing necessary change and work effectively and efficiently through others.

  • You see potential in human diversity and build bridges between different cultures and experiences to help others work together.

  • You’re motivated by being an expert in your field and excel at working across diverse stakeholders, providing clarity through focus and direction.

This job may not be for you if…

  • If the pace of a fast-moving, growth-phase company makes you uncomfortable, or if you need well-established policies and procedures to drive results, this might not be the best role for you.

  • If you are uncomfortable communicating with various stakeholders, on an ongoing basis, to keep the customer perspective and share it with your peers!

Does this sound like it was written for you?

Excellent! Please apply and let’s explore this together.
