As a Senior Product Manager in our Marketplace Design group, you will be responsible for providing our guests and hosts with the information they need to confidently and efficiently interact and transact with each other through our platform. Crafting an environment where customers trust each and Vrbo is a psychological and technical challenge. To be successful, you’ll have experience with multi-sided marketplaces, indirect and direct network effects, online retail, and reputation systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to a product vision and strategy that delivers on the goal of helping customers find their “perfect match.”

  • Develop, communicate, and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

  • Prepare for and participate in 180-day planning sessions, monthly product reviews, and deep-dive workshops.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, retail, marketing, and data analytics teams to ensure product requirements are clearly defined, accurately phased to facilitate timely delivery of functionality, and deliver the desired outcome.

  • Practice test-and-learn methodology to quickly and efficiently identify and evaluate opportunities that will inform the roadmap, and ensure continuous learning.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to identify gaps and opportunities to improve the product strategy.

  • Collaborate across the product organization to ensure transparency in cross-cutting initiatives.

  • Define, track and report on user metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvement.

  • Make recommendations regarding policy changes.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of software product management experience within an agile software development environment.

  • Experience utilizing web analytics and data analysis to aid business decisions.

  • Possess analytical reasoning and ability to boil down end-user needs into new products/ideas and a meaningful technical framework proposal.

  • Ability to lead large, complex, international projects in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to negotiate and influence both senior leaders and your peers, work across functional groups, and intelligently prioritize opportunities.

  • Proficient in using the scientific method to find opportunities and evaluate solutions to business problems.

  • Understand high-level technical documentation to discern the feasibility of integration, time frame, and required touchpoints.

  • Experience with online travel or retail and multi-sided consumer marketplaces preferred.

  • BS or BA or equivalent work experience.

  • Willing to travel 5% internationally.
