Amherst is looking for a Product Manager to serve as a key member of the Product Team to ensure customer and business expectations are satisfied while identifying innovative opportunities to stay ahead of the curve. This role will work closely with the Business Stakeholders and Tech team (Product + UI/UX + Engineering + Data) to identify and fill product gaps, uncover new product opportunities, and become an expert in the rapidly growing real estate vertical.

Amherst is looking for a Senior Product Manager to serve as our lead for our consumer facing (‘retail’) products, most notably our Bungalo and Main Street Renewal brands.  Reporting to the Head of Product within our vibrant Technology organization, you will be empowered to lead product strategy, ideation, evolution and ultimately growth of our customer facing applications and the businesses they support, working closely day to day with senior stakeholders including the President of Bungalo, Head of Operations, Marketing, and a talented team of UX/UI and developers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead a cross-functional squad including a dedicated UX/UI designer, developers, and senior business, sales & marketing stakeholders
  • You collect continuous customer feedback and place an emphasis on testing and measuring performance to validate the success of new product features
  • Develop an overall strategy for unifying the customer user experience through product simplification and consolidation, and enable the growth of our Buy/Sell/Lease customer driven channels
  • Become Amherst’s bona fide market expert in the hyper-competitive Real Estate application domain – your analysis and understanding of our peers, their products and services helps you define a Unique Selling Proposition that keeps or apps ahead of the game
  • Create compelling roadmaps, value propositions and user stories that deliver exceptional customer experiences, efficient back end operations, and a stellar ROI

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Product Manager preferably with line management responsibility and adept at leading virtual teams of developers, SMEs and stakeholders
  • Consumer facing product experience essential, ideally within the Real Estate web app market
  • Strong sensitivity to developing efficiency of back office operations as much as your commitment to building great customer facing applications
  • Familiarity with a varied selection of product management tools such as Miro, Sketch, Lucidchart, Figma, Jira, Github, Powerpoint, Roadmunk and Confluence all a plus
  • Detail oriented and self-sufficient with an ability to analyze and solve business and/or technical problems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills in the locker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (from C suite to intern)
  • A mindset that balances creativity and innovation with pragmatism
  • Bonus Skills – knowledge of the real estate vertical, proptech, marketing
