ABOUT THE ROLE

The Experience Foundation team focuses on allowing Babylon to enter new markets at speed and Babylonians to innovate quickly by providing world-class frontend platforms to release software on mobile apps and the web. Our frontend platforms make it trivial for teams to deploy software that is beautiful, accessible, evidence-led, and compliant with medical regulations. 

As a Senior Product Manager, you understand what it means to apply product thinking to generate tangible value for internal users, while never losing sight of the downstream implications for the members we serve. You will work with a team of highly skilled software engineers to evolve the platform that will let product teams rapidly build and iterate at scale. You think strategically about the objectives you set and are extremely ambitious in delivering on them. 

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy for our foundational frontend platforms, as well as managing ad hoc requests from a diverse group of stakeholders. You will be comfortable setting clear priorities, exercising good judgment in trade-off decisions, and providing your teams with the context they need to always be working on the next most valuable thing. You also understand that good communication and continuous user engagement are essential to an impactful platform product.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• Execute on our vision of frontend platforms that let us rapidly engineer at scale, applying product thinking every step of the way.
• Set team objectives that are aligned to the company strategy, define a roadmap to achieve them and work with engineering to deliver it.
• Deeply understand the pain points of our users, gather requirements from diverse stakeholders, and make pragmatic trade-off decisions based on agreed priorities.
• Drive adoption of your products through targeted communication and regular user engagement activities.
• Represent our products to the rest of the organization, including presenting at monthly product reviews and reporting on success metrics.
• Work highly collaboratively with your teams to drive outcomes and not shy away from owning both the successes and failures of your team.

ABOUT YOU

• Extensive experience in building scalable platform, internal, or B2B products - willing to learn how different roles in the organization come together to build software and gain an understanding for how to improve it.
• Strong problem solving and analytical mindset - with the ability to define measurable outcomes and report on them on a regular cadence.
• Good understanding of systems and how they work - empathetic to how developers use our platforms to build experiences.
• Excellent business judgement - comfortable making decisions based on the pros and cons of different options.
• Great written and verbal communication skills - able to break down and clearly communicate the problems we are solving and the value we are delivering
• Very comfortable working in top-performing agile teams - capable of motivating engineers and leading with context
• Passion for writing stories, running agile ceremonies, and planning and facilitating discovery activities.
