Sr. Product Manager - Offer Process: Build Something Meaningful

As our Sr. Product Manager - Offer Process, you will lead one of our core product teams focused on evolving our dual-sided marketplace into the next generation of CrowdStreet. Through your leadership, CrowdStreet will provide industry-leading, cohesive customer experiences that inspire, delight, and retain investors. The Success You'll Build: Primary Responsibilities and Impact 

As the Sr. Product Manager, you’ll join a progressive and growing Product Management Team, exercising modern and lean product development techniques to continuously iterate and evolve how we launch deals and facilitate the investor offer process in our dual-sided marketplace. Achieving this will require strong partnerships with UX, Engineering, Marketing, Marketplace Services, and Legal & Compliance. 

  • Establish a clear vision for improving and scaling our investor workflows and services to grow and retain our investor base. 
  • Articulate an inspiring product strategy and roadmap that revamps our details page on our marketplace that is used by our customers/investors. 
  • Collaborate and coordinate shared opportunities with fellow product teams to revamp and expand our user-facing experience and products. 
  • Over communicate plans, progress, goals, and challenges to internal and external stakeholders to keep all parties aligned and help ensure the viability, usability and feasibility of your team’s solutions. 
  • Exercise qualitative research, quantitative analysis, and strong judgment and instincts to prioritize the most impactful opportunities and maximize the outcomes of your team.

The Experiences That Will Help You Succeed:

  • 5-7 years of product management experience identifying customer needs, prioritizing requests, developing technical roadmaps, defining requirements, and releasing successful software solutions in a B2C and/or B2B2C capacity
  • Experience being accountable for the P&L of a product line and managing the trade-offs necessary to balance strategic and tactical pressures to both meet short-term financial objectives while guiding long-term strategic growth
  • Customer-centric mindset, charisma, and empathy are necessary to listen actively to a customer’s product needs, ask clarifying questions, and fully understand use cases
  • Has developed a strong process and methods to ruthlessly translate high-level vision and strategy into clear, tactical action items (with and without the help of your cross-functional team)
  • Experience making grounded decisions and difficult trade-offs, tactfully managing limited resources and team/stakeholder expectations to maximize your team’s outcomes
  • Experience conducting research studies using varying methodologies to assess customer needs, identify strategic differentiators, and determine product development priorities

The Competencies You’ll Need:

  • Ability to align our existing team with your vision, obtain buy-in from stakeholders (Customer Operations), and led on an enhancement that will further the evolution of our marketplace. 
  • Comfortable with analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to identify clear opportunities
  • Strong empathy and listening skills, able to adapt to different environments and personalities
  • Experience and comfort managing a large backlog of product requests, defects and strategic initiatives ideally using Jira or a similar tool
  • Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g. Optimizely, VWO, Convert, etc.)
  • BS or MS degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering

Extra credit for: 

  • Experience managing online B2C fintech or two-sided marketplace products and solutions
  • Comfortable with designing, running, and closing lean experiments to improve outcomes and inform future iterations

Location

We operate in a hybrid work model. You can work from home in any of the 27 states where we currently have team members. You can work from our HQ in Austin, TX. Through our partnership with Industrious, we also provide access to CrowdStreet-paid, local co-working spaces.
