FloSports is looking for an SVP of Product & Technology to drive our product and technology vision and strategy. This person will be responsible for developing and communicating an inspirational product vision while closely tracking UX and industry trends and adapting the product strategy accordingly. The ideal candidate will nurture an inclusive environment by seeking feedback and suggestions from across the organization and exude passion for the customer experience and market feedback. Our SVP of Product and Technology is an integral part of our senior leadership team and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer to connect our product strategy to the overarching goals of the company. This position is based in Austin, Texas. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate and paint a compelling product vision and roadmap that inspires the product and engineering team and all key stakeholders
• Manage using the Lean Startup methodology, building processes to draw on feedback from the users and speed up our product iterative process
• Demonstrate a metrics-driven mindset, using and generating thoughtful data analysis to inform decisions that balance the needs of customer
• Work with the team to drive business-hypothesis testing and validated learning 
• Maintain a competitive market overview to identify white spaces and strategic threats and opportunities. Develop business cases for new products and product features.
• Be a thought leader and the foremost product thinker at FloSports, across the latest developments, trends and megatrends 
• Drive the product management organization in execution of releases, ensuring we have the greatest of all possible ROIs through appropriately sized launches
• Partner with Engineering leaders to help design and develop products that improve the FloSports platform and products
• Understand market requirements by interacting with key stakeholders and customer facing team members
• Responsible for the team’s successful delivery of product initiatives and customer commitments
• Work cross-functionally and inclusively with Flo’s leadership team, communicating timelines and status updates regularly
• Anticipate and remove obstacles that slow down or prevent product delivery
• Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional leaders to drive focus on the product strategy and roadmap
• Create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning; promoting continuous improvement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Seasoned product leader with 15+ years of experience in a B2C technology environment operating with diverse product strategies
• Experience defining and executing strategic initiatives with quantified results for customers and the business through constant learning and experimentation
• Results-proven experience working with or implementing product management and engineering best practices such as Lean Startup and Design Patterns
• Exceptional ability building, developing and leading high-performing engineering and product teams
• Proven experience leading product management for a company that is well regarded for understanding customers and a demonstrated passion for user experience
• Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to assess disparate data sources and extract meaningful, actionable strategic insights and recommendations
• Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, building consensus across the organization and being a critical part of a leadership team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who can successfully articulate the vision, product and strategy, as well as the critical issues and priorities

BONUS POINTS:

• Experience in media, especially video streaming and OTT is a huge plus
• Experience or education in technology. An undergraduate degree or MBA in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines are a plus.
• Background in engineering is a plus
