Technical Product Evangelist

Description
The Technical Product Evangelist is a primary product evangelist at SailPoint. This role is responsible for driving technical enablement of SailPoint’s technical sales teams, including developing and delivering sales tools that clearly explain and position SailPoint’s technical advantages over the competition. The position requires a strong technical understanding of enterprise software, complex IT environments, and rapidly evolving security technologies, as well as strong marketing and communications skills. The Technical Product Evangelist must be comfortable working closely with sales, pre-sales, product management, and marketing, as well as with prospects, customers, and partners. This position reports to the SVP of the Software Products Group.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the technical marketing strategy for SailPoint’s IdentityIQ and SecurityIQ products
Work with Product Marketing to create high-impact sales enablement tools for use with customers and partners, including collateral, product demos, whitepapers, sales scripts and presentations
Perform in-depth technical analysis of competitor feature/functions to determine optimal competitive positioning
Act as liaison between sales engineering and product management to identify product requirements that will assist field and channel sellers
Support SailPoint by delivering product presentations and demos at tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
Collaborate with product management to enable technical sales teams on new releases and upcoming roadmap features
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in a software-related industry, with 3-4 years in technical marketing, product management, or technical sales roles
Experience creating and customizing product demonstrations for enterprise applications
Experience delivering technical sales enablement to software sales organizations
Ability to quickly research, understand, articulate, and discuss technical topics
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
Prior experience in identity and access management preferred, but not required
BA/BS in business or technical field required
