Position Description:

Technical Product Manager is a strategic position responsible for the success of SailPoint products in the marketplace. The position requires strong marketing and communications skills, as well as a technical understanding of enterprise software, software-as-a-service, customer IT environments, and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies. The Technical Product Manager must be comfortable working closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and professional services, as well as with prospects, customers, and partners. The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Management for IdentityNow.

 

The primary goal of this position is to drive API, platform and SaaS extensibility product improvements on top of IdentityNow. This will translate to customers deploying more features and capabilities, faster. Partners and 3rd party developers will be able to bring innovations to the market be leveraging IdentityNow APIs. This product owner will have a significant impact in our ability to scale the industry’s first and most comprehensive IGA SaaS offering towards market growth and domination

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage customer feedback and monitor deployment success, driving product innovation to improve the speed and scale of deployments.
  • Define market-driven product requirements based on customer feedback and usage data.
  • Develop, prioritize and manage the product backlog in a lean / agile environment.
  • Provide product support for sales opportunities, including on-site customer visits when needed.
  • Participate in user experience testing and product feedback sessions to capture key feedback that feeds product development.
  • Generate content to support collateral, presentations/scripts, and FAQs that communicate the IdentityNow value proposition.
  • Act as product spokesperson for SailPoint at tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the software industry. A role with technical deliverables preferably
  • 2+ years of experience in a product management role.
  • Demonstrated success in working with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful software products.
  • Experience collaborating with product marketing and marketing to provide content and campaign support.
  • Experience delivering support to field sales organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.

 

Education:

  • BA/BS in CS or EE preferred
  • Business background is a plus though not required
