About Us:

Cart.com is an ecommerce software and services company on a mission to democratize ecommerce and give digital merchants the freedom to grow. We are integrating all the pieces of the ecommerce value chain brands need to thrive, creating a truly end-to-end Ecommerce-as-a-Service platform that helps third party brands move faster, grow more quickly, and deliver on their promises more completely.

Cart.com is looking for a technical individual to join the Product Organization as a Technical Product Manager for Data Science products. In this role, you will help identify underserved customer needs that can be resolved with data-driven insights and lead in translating them into product and system requirements. With a primary focus of utilizing Machine Learning to optimize shopping journeys across channels in the market-to-cash ecommerce value chain, you should be experienced in implementing qualitative and quantitative analysis to tell stories with data.

As a member of the Product team, you should also have a foundational understanding of product planning, validation, delivery, and rollout methods. Channeling both data and intuition, you’ll also work closely with engineering, product design, and infra/ops teams to define and deliver excellent customer experiences as a member of a cross-functional team. This is a dynamic role that provides wide visibility into many functions within Cart.com and across all customer segments and markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesizing customer and stakeholder input, balancing between contending priorities, and executing a tactical plan for massively improving our brands’ ability to leverage data and grow their business.
  • Influencing a long-term roadmap that defines how data science is utilized in standalone products and embedded in existing products across the Cart.com ecosystem
  • Collaborating with customers and sales to understand existing pain points, ensuring that we’re always solving for the root cause of our clients needs
  • Working across the organization to understand factors that drive or impede our success, you’ll then define or modify a Product roadmap to improve short and long-term outcomes
  • Deliver key customer and market validation exercises of product prototypes
  • Becoming a specialist in the experience of a Brand Marketing Manager in the Cart.com platform

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of product management, consulting, or general operations experience within SaaS, ecommerce, or other similar technology environments.
  • Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis and model generation
  • Demonstrated success in delivering business outcomes and moving metrics—not just executing processes
  • Experience guiding the product lifecycle within a fast-paced, agile SaaS environment
  • Track record of successfully collaborating across business functions, demonstrating both high EQ and IQ
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and translating market and customer needs into product requirements and prioritizing them while solving for various - potentially, opposing - outcomes
  • Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication; a proven ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in a complex and dynamic environment, including creating alignment with senior leaders
  • A deep understanding and empathy for end-users

Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis or technology (Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics and/or Finance)
  • Experience in marketing technologies, dynamic pricing platforms, product information management tools, and order management systems
  • Experience in ecommerce products, shopping cart systems, selling online, channel management software, running an online store, Amazon fulfillment, headless commerce APIs
  • Experience in merchant payment solutions, merchant lending and receivables financing products, advanced taxation scenarios
