Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to support the development and execution of the eCommerce road map. Reporting to our Director of Product Management, our Technical Product Owner will be required to obtain a deep understanding of backend system integrations and work with stakeholders that are directly impacted by those integrations. This role combines the need of working amongst multiple business units and working cross functionally with necessary teams.
Responsibilities:
•Work with leadership to develop and effectively prioritize the product backlog according to the eCommerce roadmap and strategic business initiatives.
•Write user-level and technical requirements that are relevant and clear. Constantly monitor performance of new digital experiences to tweak and optimize as needed.
•Regularly interface with development team to ensure that everyone is clear on the expected user experience for new features and functionality being developed.
•Identify and test new opportunities to deliver a high-functioning ecommerce experience.
•Partner with development, creative, UI/UX, merchandising and cross-functional team leaders to identify, build and measure features and functionality that meet business goals.
•Always consider the customer when making recommendations.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an eCommerce business
•3+ years of experience defining technical requirements and driving a roadmap for an eCommerce business
•A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery and reprioritize based on evolving business needs
•Experience managing systems within an omnichannel environment
•Experience managing a roadmap that coincides with 3rd party software
•Strong technical understanding of the systems that support an eCommerce business
•Technically savvy individual who stays up with trends in the eCommerce industry
•Comfortable digging into technical documentation to understand details of 3rd party platforms/APIs and how they will impact end-user experience
•Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with experience providing direction and context to remote development teams
•A solid grasp of Scrum Agile development lifecycle processes and artifacts
•Experience using analytics data in order to make data-informed product decisions that meet customer and business needs
•Comfortable with ambiguity; must be comfortable providing guidance through multiple possible solutions
•User empathetic and compassionate individual that speaks for the person that is not in the room
•Nice to have:
oExperience managing APIs or SDKs
oExperience with Goggle Analytics and Data Studio
oExperience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (a.k.a. Demandware)
oExperience managing products that directly interface to customer service and fulfillment teams at an omnichannel retail business
