The Opportunity:

HomeAway is seeking an experienced individual who thrives in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment to join our Global Customer Experience (CE) Operations team. You will be laser-focused on ensuring global Customer Experience readiness related to product launches, creating an efficient, effective and excellent process. Needed skill sets include being able to manage programs that require cross-company teamwork, with a focus on measuring results and ensuring readiness. We are searching for a detail-oriented, self-directed teammate who will support the continued growth of the business through a strategic focus on operational readiness and the results of delivering new products, product offerings, and programs to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Customer Experience's cross-functional operational efforts, working with engineering, product marketing, product, IT, and Operations to ensure smooth rollout of changes
  • Facilitate discussion and coordination among operational partners to prioritize all existing resources in the most effective way
  • Provide customer experience data and analysis to product teams to assist in decision-making and customer experience improvement initiatives
  • Communicate prioritization and trade-off operational decisions to the broader cross-functional team to drive consensus, and ensure that those decisions are properly implemented
  • Partner with the different operational teams to provide support and resources during and after launches
  • Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
  • Hold people accountable when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships in difficult situations
  • Predict roadblocks and obstacles, establishing meetings or integration points between teams
  • Maintain and refine programs and initiatives, establishing standard methodologies, next steps, and outcomes
  • Contribute to program processes, tracking tools, and general project and program management practices, and initiate improvements where needed in order to scale effectively as the organization grows

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in a project/program management, management consulting, operations or similar strategic space
  • Demonstrated experience influencing across functional and regional teams where engagement with global counterparts is required to standardize business practices and processes across regions
  • Demonstrated background in continuous improvement and application in a program/project oriented role
  • High level of initiative, passion, and desire to craft an extraordinary experience for customers
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to both engineering and non-engineering partners
  • Demonstrated ability to define, design, monitor and present measurable key results
  • Successful history of leading multiple ongoing, complex projects
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • BS or BA in related field
  • PMP certification desired but not required
  • Ability to travel internationally - up to 10%
