ABOUT THE ROLE


Bright Health’s Individual and Family Plan (IFP) Line of Business Team builds and drives the IFP product portfolio and is accountable for growing the membership, revenue, and operating income of the National IFP business. The IFP Line of Business Team operates cross-functionally to develop a competitive and differentiated portfolio and deliver on core business objectives. The IFP team drives the growth, implementation, and performance of the IFP product portfolio at a national level.

 

As the VP of IFP, you will be accountable for driving the IFP team’s priorities and the day-to-day operational management of the IFP line of business including implementation. You will work across our markets to ensure and drive line of business priority to drive the best business outcomes. This includes but is not limited to ensuring successful implementation of QHPs year-over-year in new and existing markets, overseeing the development and execution of Line of Business blueprint or Source of Truth. You will work across the organization and interface with senior leadership to support the delivery of Bright Health’s organizational and strategic objectives. In this role, you will also build out and drive Bright’s ICHRA strategy. Your work will directly contribute to the rapid growth and expansion of Bright Health and the IFP Business.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build out and drive execution of Bright’s ICHRA growth and implementation strategy
  • Drive IFP business key priorities with cross functional partners to ensure best in class product performance and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop, operationalize, and execute IFP distribution strategy both in the field and centrally
  • Lead day to day operational priorities, and partner with Markets team to drive integration and implementation of Bright’s QHP products
  • Drive and oversee team to align on key strategic initiatives for IFP, including retention, member experience, quality related initiatives, and plan performance
  • Oversee Bright’s Cultural Experience program to enable improved experiences for members, providers, and brokers to drive sales and retention
  • Drive the identification and prioritization of inorganic growth opportunities for the IFP line of business in coordination with cross-functional teams across Bright Health
  • Identify cost savings opportunities by identifying best in class clinical approaches to medical cost management
  • Develop and operationalize action plans to capitalize on cost savings opportunities
  • Partner with product and technology functions to develop long-term strategy and technology roadmap for members, providers, and brokers
  • Oversee all regulatory tracking

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities for the Individual & Family Plan Line of Business team

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in Health Plans/Health Insurance, or similar experience (Required)
  • Four (4) or more years of Individual and Family Plan product management experience (Preferred)
  • Strong strategic, operational, and critical thinking capability (Required)
  • Advanced proficiency and proven results with large project management and planning (Required)

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Previous health plan experience, preferably in one or more of the following areas: product design, implementation, strategy, consumer, or general management roles
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with internal and external teams to effectively design and implement solutions that meet the business needs
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate ideas into action and outcomes
  • Experience and strong influential skills to manage cross-functional, virtual teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and identify regulatory and implementation risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize simultaneously
  • Ability to perform critical analysis of complex business problem and propose appropriate solutions
  • Ability to effectively engage and interact with and influence internal executive sponsors
  • Advanced time management and project management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills, work ethic, problem solving ability, and overall positive attitude
  • Bias toward action; sense of urgency, and ownership of work
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation
  • Adaptable to change
