Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to develop and grow our presence on Amazon! Partnering closely with our VP of E-Commerce and VP of Wholesale, our Amazon Channel Manager will drive brand and product awareness through diligent communication and creative marketing. The Channel Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to educate, strategize and provide the organization with sales and marketing programs to drive Wholesale channel growth and increase revenue.
Responsibilities:
Strategy
• Develop the strategy for the Amazon marketplace with a full understanding of all the necessary supporting functions including logistics, customer acquisition, product development, merchandising and branding
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to effectively integrate sales optimization strategies with other corporate initiatives to promote healthy growth of the business
• Build account relationships and manage negotiations with Amazon
• Utilize data analytic tools and develop recommendations for sales and marketing initiatives
Reporting & Analysis
• Track and grow sales, provide daily, monthly and yearly sales data reports
• Work cross-functionally to develop a quarterly operating budget in accordance to business goals
• Monitor and analyze (KPIs), visits, conversation rate, ROI, and cost analysis
• Analyze reports from the Amazon platform to present findings and provide recommendations for areas of growth
Cross-functional Support
• Monitor demand planning and forecasting models with relevant stakeholders to ensure that adequate inventory levels are maintained and communicated to the client/customer and internal relevant team members
• Interface with the Distribution Center and WMS to provide support, problem-solving and information on inventory issues
• Work closely with Product Development to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory
• Work with Merchandising team to identify new category and item opportunities
• Work with Merchandising team to ensure inventory levels meet demand
Product Listings
• Detailed maintenance and improvement of listings (title, description, images, reviews, prices, product specs, customer questions, etc.) to increase product ranking
• Optimize listings for placement and organic search performance
• Work with other functional areas of marketing to drive traffic and execute advertising campaigns, sponsored ads, and other efforts to increase revenue
• Monitor the channel for errors, alerts, questions, and inquiries and resolve with a high sense of urgency
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in E-commerce Marketing
• 7+ years’ experience in channel marketing for a high-growth retail company
• 5+ years’ experience managing Amazon channel partnerships
• A proven ability to break down larger initiatives into consumable achievable tasks to achieve departmental and company objectives
• Ability to clearly articulate plans and ensure team is aligned
• A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach
• Strong understanding of channel marketing and overall marketing concepts
• Experience in development and execution of a marketing plan
• Excellent attention to detail with a structured approach to analysis
• A growth mindset: track record of leveraging past learnings, encouraging new ideas and smart risk taking in self and others
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaboratively
