CARES Program Director

A day in the life of our CARES Program Director:
Manage and supervise a team of 8+ social workers, social work interns, service coordinators, and housing counselors.
Implement the strategic plan to scale the CARES program
Maintain alignment of resident support needs with needs and responsibilities of the company
Provides information and referrals, as appropriate, and support team members with their client accounts
Implement new systems for clear communication both internally and externally
Be the brand ambassador for the CARES program both internally and externally
Be informed in best practices and community resources
Provide supervision to case management and maintain documentation in order to accurately evaluate the resident’s progress and ongoing resident and household needs
Participates in budget planning, unit administration, data analytics, and program development
Develop a plan for programmatic evaluation
Participate in organizational workgroups
Play a key role in hiring and retention of the team
What you’ll need to have:
A degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Social Work
3 years of experience managing social work and/or service coordination teams
Skill in effective oral and/or written communication – high in social/emotional intelligence
Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other social service programs
Ability to develop diplomatic relationships with basic needs programs across multiple communities within and external to the company
Ability to interact with all stakeholders in a strength-based, solution-focused manner
Knowledge of theoretical constructs of human development and ecological systems.
Knowledge of community resources available for basic needs, therapeutic interventions, and/or support.
Knowledge of crisis intervention and counseling techniques used in trauma, grief, or crisis situations.
Knowledge of Federal and State program requirements for services to adults and families, Experience working in and within large, complex, diversified organizations
Preferred:
Licensed Master Social Worker
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Skill in motivational interviewing techniques
Experience in real estate, housing, housing counseling, property management, housing stability
