We are currently seeking a Global Technical Consulting Manager within the Ping Identity Professional Services organization. The Professional Services team is part of our Global Customer Success organization and delivers professional services for federated identity and access management solutions in addition to customer identity solutions for clients around the world. This includes federation architecture consulting, installation, configuration assistance, and software connection solutions for all Ping Identity products.
We are looking for an individual with the ability to oversee the consulting practice teams within Professional Services who are responsible for delivering high quality solutions for our customers. The Global Technical Consulting Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Professional Services and is expected to set direction for skill and knowledge development across all consulting practices, participate in the development of new packaged services, and ensure that delivery quality remains high.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ollaborates with the Sr. Director of Professional Services and other Ping leaders and partners to inform and execute on the strategy for skill and knowledge development across all consulting practices
  • Leads Professional Services technical team leads and works closely with other Ping Identity teams to drive efficiency into onboarding and ongoing enablement programs
  • Leads the evolution of best practices, tools, and other technical knowledge assets used in the delivery of services engagements
  • Supports Professional Services sales as a subject matter expert for opportunities and drives the development of new forecasting tools to improve efficiency
  • Participates in the hiring process for new technical consultants
  • Determines Professional Services delivery strategy for new Ping technologies
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and team members
  • Leads team member development for direct reports and manage performance through goal setting, regular 1:1's, and customer/internal feedback.
  • Works as part of the Professional Services leadership team in establishing standards and consistent processes across the organization

  • Experience supporting services sales efforts. This includes developing Statements of Work, conducting scoping calls with customers, and estimating services work effort for engagements.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience across existing Ping Identity technologies with a desire to continue to grow and develop personal technical skills.

Additional Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in the Identity and Access Management Industry
  • Experience with Databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience and understanding of OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Experience and understanding of XACML policy language.
  • Experience with Java template engines like Apache Velocity or Thymeleaf.
  • Experience implementing solutions with social APIs including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP/CIPP/CIPM
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a broad range of technologies to deliver complex solutions.
