Everlywell is looking for a Head of Agility with a people first mindset and approach to effectively apply, coach and grow Agile mindset and principles.  In this role, you mentor and coach leadership and team members at all levels across the organization. You will facilitate continuous improvement by helping identify and remove organizational and team impediments to optimize our value stream, performance, habits, culture and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth mindset across the organization
  • Ensure Everlywell values and Agile principles are part of daily life
  • Manage and mentor a team of agile coaches
  • Empower executive leadership to share a clear vision of values and goals in a way that creates alignment & engagement
  • Support and educate the Product/Engineering teams on building and maintaining goal-oriented roadmaps focusing on goals and outcomes rather than projects and deadlines
  • Coach the Engineering organization on balancing technical excellence and experimentation with a focus on iterative and incremental delivery
  • Facilitate the exploration of issues, decisioning, conflicts, concerns, and approaches to organizational challenges
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on working the problem not the person
  • Work with the organization to build urgency around impediment removal at all levels
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information
  • Facilitate getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an Agile Coach or similar role for product development teams that were diligently applying Agile  principles, practices, and appropriate frameworks (Scrum or Kanban, etc)
  • Experience coaching Agile principles, practices, and frameworks outside of engineering
  • Experience coaching director & executive level leadership
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of various patterns and techniques for determining and growing organizational health
  • ​​​​​​​Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • ​​​​​​​Familiarity with Agile Management tools like Jira (Software and Advanced Roadmaps), etc

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM), CTC/CEC, ICP-ATF/ACC/AC
  • Knowledge of other Agile frameworks/methods: XP, Kanban, LeSS, SAFe
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful DevOps/Agile techniques: ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Story mapping
