Position at HotSchedules

Responsibility as a Jr. Program Manager

You will support our HotSchedules Clarifi Launch Program. HotSchedules Clarifi is a breath of fresh air to normal restaurant operations: the first cloud-based intelligent back office platform that helps restaurant operators, managers and staff perform at their very best, every single day.

This launch and continued support of the Clarifi suite of products is a huge achievement in our company's history. As a Jr. Program Manager, you'll play a key part in making sure we get things done and get it done well.

Your purview will be the leader of the tactical efforts of this program. You'll regularly set up meetings, take minutes, chase deliverables, manage deadlines, and report your projects' status to the PMO team.

The PMO (Program Management Office) lives in our Product team. We are central to our products' cross-team success, have high-level visibility across the organization, and have a reputation for getting things done.

Because of that reputation, we often come across projects outside of the launch program that will need a PMO lead. These are exciting opportunities to learn and grow within our organization, often outside the scope of what your key area of focus is.

  • A self-starter attitude about anything that comes your way: the project might not be 100% defined when assigned, but you've got a knack for seeking the definition needed to see the project through
  • A sense of pride on being responsible and credible: you are the person who always takes notes, never misses a deadline, catches key details others miss, and seeks out answers to open questions

Recap of What You'll Do:

  • Manage the successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects within the overall launch program
  • Take ownership of and pride in your projects. You'll keep a handle on the coordination, risk mitigation, organization and tracking of project tasks & activities
  • Oversee the delivery of in-depth product documentation and tools to the support and implementation teams
  • Manage communications and provide regular program status updates as part of standard PMO process

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Better than average work ethic - going above and beyond is just something you do.
  • Problem-solving skills and a desire to dig deeper. If something seems off, you investigate; if you uncover a problem, you're there to help solve it.
  • Being inventive and independent. You can work with minimum supervision - if something is stopping progress, you come up with creative solutions to unblock it (but also know when to ask for help).
  • High level of comfort in leading effective meetings, crafting thorough documentation, producing status reports, and chasing down action-items
  • Proficient in or a quick learner with project management software (ex: MS Project, Smartsheets, Clarizen, Asana)
  • Experience in restaurant operations is useful
  • 1-3 years professional experience as a Project Manager or related field
  • While this is posted as a Junior position, we will consider highly qualified candidates for a more senior position as well
