What You'll Do:
The mission of the PMO in Engineering is to introduce and maintain a consistent approach to managing projects. You will oversees the administration of projects to ensure support of the standards, methodology and technology defined by the organization.
This is a dual role which involves managing a small team of project coordinators/managers and also perform a role of an individual contributor as a Program manager. One of a program manager’s key roles is to make sure all of the different project work streams are all working together towards the overarching goal. The Manager - PMO will be coordinating projects relating to and between Engineering, Marketing, TechOps, Support, and Product.

- Drive process improvements: Work with engineering leadership and management to optimize and execute our development strategies and process improvements.
- Manage a team of program managers/project coordinators
- Collect & analyze data, information, and research through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions and recommendations on critical strategic issues.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and/or projects with multiple work streams that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.
- Assist with escalated issues on priorities, goals, strategies, resources and key initiatives.
- Effectively and consistently communicate overall program status.
- Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with release and quality engineering teams to keep release cycles on track
- Aid and assist the Engineering Managers and Team Leads in continuously merging geographically dispersed offices/teams into a cohesive, international organization with shared knowledge, methods, models, and processes.
- Participates selectively in day-to-day technical task planning and issue resolution.
- Conduct program performance metrics analysis and deliver reports to senior management
- Work closely with their project manager direct reports, global cross-functional project teams including line management and external partners to ensure that the project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelors Degree required
- 10+ years in a Project or Product Management role for a customer centric software organization with at least 3+ years of experience managing a team of project managers/coordinators
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Jira Portfolio - bonus points if you have led a Jira Portfolio implementation
- Experience building reports and dashboards in JIRA to assess project status across multiple teams
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile delivery organization and familiarity with Agile principles/practices - Formal training in Agile practices, project management is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
