The Marketing Program Manager will report into the Sr. Customer Strategist on the Prime Benefits and Payments Marketing team. This role supports Payments and Prime marketing initiatives including ownership of the day to day operations of the Prime program spanning several key areas including store communications, analytics, cobranded credit card, store activation, customer programs and targeted promotions, and marquee events such as Prime Day. The Marketing Program Manager will partner across the Whole Foods Market Global Marketing, Technology and Retail Operations teams in addition to Amazon stakeholders.
As a Marketing Program Manager, this person puts the needs of the customer first while being mindful of the needs of the business to create win/win opportunities for both. The ideal candidate for this role has strong project & time management skills, is comfortable jumping into ambiguity and emerging with a data-driven strategic plan, and is able to clearly articulate and act upon key business issues and learning objectives to guide tactical efforts across the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Communications lead

  • Lead regional/store communication for all Prime and Amazon program promotions and in-store events in partnership with global store communication stakeholders
  • Manage and optimize Prime and Amazon program information resources available to stores and key stakeholders
  • Support store Team Member training content development for the Prime and Amazon programs in partnership with the Change Enablement team
  • Support operational excellence of Prime and Amazon programs in Whole Foods Market stores
  • Develop store Team Member engagement strategies supporting the Prime and Amazon programs
  • Curate and respond to inbound store email feedback

Program Analytics support

  • Project manage the communication of Prime program action items within the reoccurring reporting structure
  • Support weekly and monthly program review process, documentation and next steps
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing Analytics team to continuously evolve program reporting
  • Submit analytics and reporting requests at the program and promotion level and track progress
  • Author clear and thought-provoking briefs for annualized programs such as Prime Day

Marketing Activation

  • Collaborate with Whole Foods Market and Amazon stakeholders to support Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card marketing and promotion execution
  • Support marquee Prime program events such as Prime Day from planning to in-store activation, member giveaways, etc.
  • Implementation of marketing plans, including execution of program strategies and customer-driven insight integration into programs
  • Effectively communicate program goals, strategy, and plans to cross-functional stakeholders at Whole Foods and Amazon.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, ability to set effective agendas and meet deadlines.
  • Aware of competition and able to translate observations into meaningful insights.
  • Support, develop, and/or execute other team processes and programs as needed.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 4-6 years of related experience preferably in retail, payments, or customer loyalty programs
  • Passion for Whole Foods Market’s core values
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the proven ability manage complex projects with a strong sense of urgency
  • Proven problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication skills including written correspondence, reports, procedural documents, program outlines, and program/event recaps.
  • Intrepidness with the hunger to figure things out when the answers don’t currently exist while being scrappy with a solution-focused mindset
  • Fast learner with the diligence to quickly adopt new technology
  • Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and effective in establishing new processes
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing key performance indicators and identifying actionable consumer insights
  • Ability to build effective cross functional working relationships across both the Whole Foods Market and Amazon organizations.
  • Experience with credit marketing or retail store communications a plus
  • Fluent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams. Familiar with Atlassian Confluence, Workfront and Opal.
  • Requires travel approximately 5-10% as needed
