Promet Source, a Chicago based web and mobile application development company, is looking to hire a PMO Director to work with its established team of Drupal professionals. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall response, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects and tasks ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.  We are looking for a full time PMO Director with great organizational and interpersonal skills that is an experienced multi-tasker. They must have experience in leading teams that respond to troubleshooting web application and server issues, site building, development of web applications and want to be a part of a fun, collaborative team of individuals.

To succeed at Promet, you will be a PMO Director with a strong focus on the oversight and management of the PMO, ensuring effective project management across the organization. A proven track record of driving multiple projects from inception to competition, including collaborating with stakeholders, apprising teams of project and budget status, and managing issues to resolution, while providing a unique customer experience by optimizing best practices, client focused initiatives and delivery of innovative solutions.  Ultimately, success in this role means developing and maintaining global high-performance teams focused on overall team success and client satisfaction.

How you’ll make an impact:

The PMO Leader will manage day-to-day problem-solving, project escalations, project analytical activities and serve as key liaisons between their team, the sales team and our clients. The PMO Director is also responsible for mentoring, inspiring and developing their team. Additionally, supporting the overall health of the organization by ensuring billable utilization of the team and managing costs through effective application of nearshore/offshore capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, direct and be accountable for the overall performance of the IT PMO team in the delivery of the portfolio

• Develop and manage comprehensive, project budgets, resource allocations, and costs with overall accountability for PMO performance (key performance indicators and metrics).

• Establish and facilitate effective project management governance, oversight and prioritization.

• Apply risk management assessment in project planning / ongoing execution and resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects.

• Prepare and deliver regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and key stakeholders are adequately apprised of project statuses, successes, risks and issues.

• Establish professional standards for business process and project management - using industry innovations, best practices, standards, methodologies, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

• Lead project management team, establish performance expectations and standards, serve as a role-model and provide leadership direction to PMs throughout project lifecycle

• Provide weekly PMO Reports, Scorecards, and Dashboards to C-Level Management

• Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and PMP required. Master’s degree and/or Scrum Master a Plus

• 10 years of project management experience including large scale, complex projects

• 5 years of team leadership experience

• Strong financial management capabilities

• Experience with technology projects

• Strong Project Management portfolio management

• Extensive Project Management discipline knowledge and skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence at all levels and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
