Responsible for defining and managing the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for projects. Organizes and drives resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities include overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures project scope, planning, and implementation align with client expectations and business needs. Ensures alignment between multiple projects.

Amazon Fresh, Principal Project Manager 

Marketing Operations - PMO 

Full Time  

Located in Seattle, WA 

 

We are looking for a Principal Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex multi-channel cross-functional marketing programs for Amazon Fresh grocery. This position is based in Seattle, Washington and will require 50% of your time in the Amazon Fresh headquarters while playing a key liaison role to the Amazon Fresh team officing out of Austin, Texas.  

 

This role will lead a team of project managers that run all programs related to Amazon Fresh brand and retail marketing materials. With this role based in Seattle it will play a key role in working with Amazon Fresh marketing and merchant stakeholders, while connecting with the Austin-Based Amazon Fresh creative and marketing operations team (inclusive of Project Managers, Creatives, Production and Print Production).  

 

This position will need to create efficiencies in process and simplify tools to build a standardized workflow and streamline channels of communication. All while helping the team to prioritize programs and deliverables in a complex and ever-changing retail environment. 

 

This role partners with Amazon Fresh stakeholders, Product, Brand Creative, Channel and Tech teams to lead the planning and execution of creative projects supporting high profile and high impact business initiatives.  

 

This role requires excellent project management skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, problem solving, and effective communication skills with peers and leadership. A track record of on-time delivery of projects coupled with the ability to operate independently and autonomously are key to the success of this role.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Key leader and liaison between Seattle and Austin-based Amazon Fresh teams.  

  • Builds, develops, and grows business relationships with expanded teams vital to program success both in Seattle and in Austin on the Amazon Fresh team.  

  • Establishes project scope, timelines, and milestones, oversees Partners and manages internal brand/creative/design activities, and leads holistic project health reporting, communications and close out. 

  • Proactively identifies potential risks, barriers or roadblocks to Marketing programs, devises problem analyses, recommends contingency plans and implements changes in a creative and logical manner.  

  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions in one-on-one situations and group meetings. Presents to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.  

  • Identifies potential risks, provides solutions for improvements, and implements process and communication synergies to help our cross-functional teams work more efficiently.  

  • Proactively evaluates tools, mechanisms, teams, and training to optimize workflow.  

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience as a project manager in a creative agency or similar experience 

  • Experience leading others and working closely with leadership across departments  

  • Proven success leading end-to-end creative and digital projects 

  • Ability to define project scope, goals, deliverables and establish RACI for role clarity.  

  • Experience in digital, physical retail, and creative and content production timelines and process 

  • Strong leadership presence and proactive relationship builder with diverse stakeholder groups. 

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency and follow-through. 

  • Passion for exceptional execution within an ever-changing environment. 

  • Ability to juggle multiple high-visibility projects at once in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
