Chive Charities is hiring a program coordinator to assist the Sr. Program Director with grant recipient casework as well as lead and support program related development initiatives, including fundraising campaigns and special events. Must live in Austin, TX.
Job Description:
The Program Coordinator’s main role is to assist the Sr. Program Director with grant recipient cases by sharing the caseload and maintaining a sufficient level of expertise to work externally with grant recipients and internally with program staff.After a training period, the Program Coordinator will take on a caseload of 2-3 cases per month ranging from individuals to non-profit organizations and outreachMaintain an efficient workload to complete grant distribution and reporting requirements on timeUpdate and organize recipient information on a daily basis to ensure all cases are up to date and on the Sr. Program Director’s scheduleTroubleshoot questions and issues from grantees and potential recipientsLead team phone calls with the grant recipients and the Content Manager in order to obtain additional information for their donation storyMaintain recipient follow up communication which will be supplied to the Content Manager for updates on multiple platforms, including the Chive Charities website, social media and donor newslettersAttendance at program-related and fundraising-related events as neededMonitor the application system periodically to seek out potential bugs, errors, and potential language updates.Work cross functionally with the development team on program related aspects of fundraising events and initiativesOther functions as needed
Requirements:
2-3 years experience in social work, psychology or related fieldBachelor’s degree in social work or related fieldExtremely strong attention to detailCasework experienceAbility to communicate cross functionallySelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel / OfficeNonprofit experience a plusSocial Work license a plusExperience with healthcare industry a plusMust live in Austin, TX
