Global Operations' focus is on supporting our users through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions, and on improving the health of our products by helping people understand how to use them. Those who join our teams are very passionate about solving people’s issues, and are strong advocates for the Facebook community. We need influencers who can align cross-functional partners to ensure the best possible experience for our platforms. If you like helping people, Global Operations is for you.

Our Operational Readiness team is a global team, which supports Trust & Safety Operations across all regions by managing programs that strengthen the operations ecosystem. The team enables Facebook's growth while continuing to support our community at an unprecedented scale and pace. We are looking for a Program Manager to be a partner for our cross-functional teams in shipping changes seamlessly and efficiently in a timely manner, and to create processes that allow the business to continue to run without slowing it down. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders across teams, advising the best strategy for smooth rollout of changes impacting the wider Trust & Safety organization. We are seeking a resilient self-starter who is eager to learn, collaborative and a proven team player. We value people who can strategically drive the team using macro-level insights, while still caring for micro-level cases affecting people around the globe. We're targeting an intellectually curious and creative individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity — a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. You will work directly with our cross-functional team (engineering, marketing, growth, etc.), as well as all of the teams within Trust & Safety, to execute global projects from inception to launch. This role requires the ability to work across different time zones and use analytical rigor to identify and prioritize user pain points.

Program Manager, Operational Readiness Responsibilities

  • Manage Facebook's cross-functional operational efforts, working with engineering, policy, training and other operational teams to ensure smooth rollout of changes.

  • Facilitate discussion and coordination among operational stakeholders across the company in order to manage all existing resources in the most effective way.

  • Communicate prioritization and trade-off operational decisions to the broader cross-functional team to drive consensus, and ensure that those decisions are properly implemented.

  • Partner with the different operational teams to provide support and resources during and after projects.

  • Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress.

  • Hold people accountable when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships in difficult situations.

  • Predict roadblocks and obstacles, establishing meetings or integration points between teams.

  • Prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions

  • Maintain and refine programs and initiatives, establishing best practices, next steps, and outcomes

  • Contribute to program processes, tracking tools, and general project and program managing best practices, and initiate improvements where needed in order to scale effectively as the organization grows

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree

    • 2+ years of experience in a project/program management, management consulting, operations or similar strategic space

    • 2+ years of experience initiating and driving projects to completion independently, with minimal guidance

    • 2+ years of experience working with Excel

    • Experience influencing across functional boundaries and globally

    • Experience communicating to a variety of audiences

    • Experience in analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational tasks

    • Experience under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
