The Khoros engagement platform comprises Online Community, Social Media Management and Messaging products for social customer service, social support and social media marketing teams to listen, respond and act on customer conversations – creating deep relationships and fostering brand loyalty and advocacy.

As a Project Manager at Khoros, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of our customers’ projects.  Do you enjoy working with customers to bring their vision to life?  Are you organized, articulate, and detailed oriented?  Do you have the hard skills necessary to drive a project schedule and soft skills necessary to satisfy the customer while doing it?  If so, then we’ve got the dream job for you!  We are seeking an individual who possesses a unique mix of strong project management experience, social understanding, and technical knowledge to join our growing team.  You will be responsible for launching new customer communities, new social care solutions, and technical delivery of projects customers dream up. 

Responsibilities

• Completing projects on time and on budget while delighting our customers
• Managing a number of parallel software deployment projects for our customers
• Coordinating and managing internal and external resources, both technical (consultants, production operations) and non-technical (best practice experts, user interface consultants, designers)
• Working with customers on the definition and execution of their overall project plans
• Managing the client relationship and setting customer expectations during project implementations
• Identifying account expansion opportunities and supporting Sales to close them
• Following Khoros Project Implementation Methodology and PMO Guidance
• Documenting functional and technical specifications of the proposed solution
• Creating Statements of Work for projects and change requests as needed
• Contributing to constant improvement of Khoros project management practices
• Coordinating training and mentorship for the customers' staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• 4+ years of hands-on project management experience at a software product company or consulting firm
• 3+ years managing projects in consumer facing web applications (web sites, social interaction sites, support sites, etc)
• Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills (ability to present to different audiences and bring the message across in a concise, professional manner)
• Experience managing multiple parallel projects (with team size of 5+ members) in a software development and/or project management environment where the customer is an external buyer (no internal IT projects)
• Experience scoping and estimating project efforts
• Demonstration of use and understanding of project control KPIs
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong flair for technology and technology solutions
• Willingness to travel (10% to 20%)
• Mastery of the English language (written and spoken)

• Experience with Clarizen, SmartSheet, Salesforce, Google Apps
• Experience with SAAS-based social customer experience platforms
• Moderation and/or Management of online communities
• Additional languages
• Experience within the social media technology landscape
• Big Plus: Certified Agile Scrum Master OR PMP certification
