We are hiring a Scrum Master. As part of this role, you'll encourage the product delivery process across one or more teams. Your work helps us figure out when we can achieve software projects. Do you love working with product managers, engineering managers, engineers, and designers to help them work more effectively by using your technical background? We would love to hear from you.

Your Day to Day:

Delivery Process

Work with Engineering, Product, and Design to build a software delivery process to improve delivery speed without sacrificing communication and team effectiveness. Things change over time. You can put in place just the right amount of procedures for each situation. You measure the health of each project as it progresses to predict delivery estimates and uncover opportunities or risks.

Build Software Quality Metrics

Create and maintain JIRA boards to track project progress and provide status to team members. Monitor projects and estimate the probability that they will complete on or before the target. You will identify anything that reduces or increases the likelihood of completion. You will facilitate various technical and non-technical meetings, including agile ceremonies such as standup, planning, retrospectives, etc. You will also encourage technical discussions to foster teamwork and gain insights into project risk/scope.

Team Effectiveness

You are a central component of your delivery teams. You should present a level-headed, objective perspective to balance the often opposing needs of Product and Engineering. Your voice will be the most influential in suggesting improvements to the way we work. You are a coach to the team, looking for ways members can be more engaging.

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years experience in technical software development project management
  • Extensive experience running and facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinements, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Sprint Demos
  • Experience working with product managers and technical leads to scope and refine requirements for large projects
  • Experience turning requirements into user stories
  • You can identify and quickly resolve blockers and assess technical risks.
  • You’re able to coach, mentor, and foster a positive team environment that values collaboration.
  • You enable the team to balance priorities and communicate capacity to complete their cross-team dependencies.
  • Able to identify technical constraints and dependencies when breaking work down.
  • You excel in independent work culture.
  • You are looking to bring your voice and experience to a mission-driven company in ways that help it to expand.
  • Excellent communicator across all channels (interpersonal, written, and verbal)
  • Familiarity or training in Agile principles and practices (Kanban/Scrum)
  • A systems thinker who enjoys finding more innovative ways to work
  • Direct experience using Jira
  • Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe (Scaled Agile)

TOTAL REWARDS

  • Competitive salary & stock options
  • Performance bonus
  • Open PTO plan
  • 100% paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Annual bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Generous equity grant based on level
