Hyliion is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Senior Manager, Program Management to join our team in Cedar Park, Texas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company that is revolutionizing the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Does what is necessary to ensure that the company’s investments given to the Program Manager according to the business case are transformed into benefits (ROI)
  • Ensures that all defined program/project deliverables are delivered within target cost, time, and quality targets.
  • Responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals and disrupting the marketplace by launching new and innovative products.
  • Lead large-scale programs with strong attention to strategy, implementation, delegation, and coordinates efforts between different projects.
  • Manage project deliverables through appropriately cadenced team meetings and by identifying and supporting the removal of roadblocks to meet timing commitments.
  • Interfaces customers, suppliers, and 3rd party firms to ensure that there is a cohesive plan to meet customer commitments and Hyliion deliverables.
  • Communicates effectively with all stakeholders to ensure efficient flow of information, timely decisions on open issues, and escalates as appropriate.
  • Works with other program/project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks, and produces program reports for management and stakeholders.

Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Statistics, Sciences, or related discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in Engineering, Quality or Program Management in Automotive, Manufacturing and/or Electronics Industry.  Commercial Vehicle experience preferred.
  • Significant experience working with Automotive Industry toolsets (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D…etc.).
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to influence and motivate individuals to achieve common goals.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the leg and spine.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

 

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional equipment as found in a typical office
