Senior Program Manager, Developer Experience Content

We’re searching for a Sr. Program Manager to be the mission control for our Education Content teams. This is a unique role that brings curriculum creators, technical writers, engineers, designers, and product managers together in a more cohesive way. You’ll manage day-to-day content projects, develop processes that create “upstream” opportunities for content-driven thinking and help establish practices that enable content strategy to flow across our suite of developer experience sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with content area leads
- Serve as the go-to point of contact for content projects, removing roadblocks and tracking dependencies
- Drive planning, roadmapping and communications for content projects to ensure timely implementation
- Create and roll out scalable processes that empower the team and streamline their work
- Manage Jira boards, dashboards, tickets and automation to enable transparency and manage workloads
- Elevate the team’s presence within the organization
- Build trust and partnership between content teams, design, product, and engineering
- Coach the content team to help them deliver, while enabling them to shine
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Content Producer, Content Lead, Creative Program Manager or other related strategic project/program role (tech industry is a huge plus)
- Ability to speak with confidence about content activities and workflows
- Jira proficiency (Jira wizardry is a huge plus)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; knowing when and how to share with the right audiences
- Experience managing organizational change, understanding how to bring people along the journey
- A coaching mindset; we’re not looking for project managers as much as human-centered team enablers
- Diplomatic negotiation style
- Natural leadership and problem-solving skills
- Keen sense of when to follow a process and when process is getting in the way
- Proactive approach, pride of work, and passion for iterative workflow development
- Expertise in creative, flexible, effective ways to work with global teams
Success Measures
- In 3 months you will have ramped up on MongoDB Education offerings and created new processes for the content teams
- In 6 months you will have rolled out processes, templates and frameworks for teams to use in their planning and execution
- In 12 months you will have automated some of our processes, enhanced workflows in JIRA, and made significant progress toward interdepartment and cross-functional processes that improve content creation
