Whole Foods Market's E-Commerce organization is excited to add a Senior Project Manager to our team supporting eCommerce Enablement. This role is based in Austin, TX and is 50% onsite hybrid.
As the Sr PM, you're responsible for defining and managing project schedules, resource needs, deliverables, and budgets for projects. You will organize and drive resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. Some of your core responsibilities include overall project and resource planning, project intake, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. You will work closely with a team of Program Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project scope, planning, and implementation align with business needs across various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage large-scale projects from end-to-end
• Use business needs and past project experience to create full-scale plans for projects, encompassing:
  • Project charter
  • Defined project scope
  • Deliverables
  • Dependencies
  • Schedules
  • Resources allocation
  • Support plans

• Collaborate with project sponsors to communicate expectations to Team Members and stakeholders
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to project success
• Negotiate with Team Leaders and other WFM teams to acquire necessary personnel resources
• Track high-level deliverables across projects
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
• Ensure achievement of budget goals
• Ensure regular and ongoing vendor and business partner communication
• Escalate significant, complex, business critical, or sensitive issues for information and resolution as appropriate
• Close projects by gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned, and identifying best practices

Skills:

• Advanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects
• Able to oversee or advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers
• Ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines
• Proficient with project management software, such as SharePoint, MS Project, and Basecamp.
• Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion
• Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow
• Builds and nurtures relationships with senior-level stakeholders and leaders
• Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations
• Presents problem analyses and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner
• Identifies opportunities for process / procedural enhancements to drive efficiency and improve service levels
• Understands trends and emerging challenges of the customer base, market, and industry
• Applies business and project understanding to focus project / team’s efforts

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
