Our Market Success team is responsible for the successful implementation, launch, and ongoing management of Bright Health’s local markets. As the Senior Director of Market Implementation, you are responsible for cultivating a team of care partner implementation leads, data integration leads, and project managers. You will develop differentiated implementation toolkits and supporting governance needed to execute and scale processes for the successful launch of new Bright Health markets and services. As a coach and contributor, you will lead multiple, concurrent implementations in collaboration with Bright Health’s care partners, internal centers of excellence, and local market leadership.

The Senior Director, Market Implementation is a critical member of the Market Success team, supporting the expansion of Bright Health’s markets across the country through the development of scaled reporting, processes, governance, and tools. This role is accountable for supporting national market success and the company’s performance by developing and maintaining our strategy and best practices for launching and advancing Bright’s relationship with our Care Partners, network partners, and aligned providers.

**This position will be remote, but New York and Minneapolis are preferred locations**

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and grow the Market Implementation team, including client-facing program and technical leads and project managers
  • Influence and inform decisions on recruiting, resource allocations, staffing assignments, and budget needs
  • Manage a high-performing implementation team, that includes direct and matrixed staff, by providing clear direction, regular guidance, and impactful coaching
  • Set goals for Market Implementation team that align with department and Bright Health annual goals
  • Collaborate with the people managers of matrixed implementation teams on individual performance by providing constructive feedback and identifying growth opportunities
  • Inspire and motivate by embodying Bright’s mission and values
  • Develop plans for organizing resources, producing deliverables, managing timeframes, and ensuring a seamless delivery of Bright Health’s services and products to partner organizations
  • Define and build the structure, tools, and knowledge centers across implementation phases (kickoff, meeting, governance, etc.), including but not limited to project charters, project plans, issues and action logs, status reporting, risk mitigation, relationship maps, process flows, and standard operating procedures
  • Lead key internal initiatives to drive efficiencies and best practices for implementation; identify process improvement opportunities to be carried forward in future work
  • Drive collaboration across key Bright centers of excellence/workstream leads, including market development, network, clinical, IT/data integration, operations, marketing, and sales
  • Identify and triage non-standard commitments, impacts, and timeframes
  • Collaborate with Market Management on the hiring plan for the market team and transition to operations following the implementation to insure exceptional service and delivery throughout implementation and into operations
  • Lead day-to-day partner-facing activities for multiple, concurrent market implementations with Bright Health’s care partners, centers of excellence, and in-market leadership
  • Manage risks, issues, and communications during the implementation and share progress via internal briefings, partner implementation committees, and executive status reports
  • Take accountability for proactively managing to and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Serve as a primary point of contact partners during the implementation
  • Provide expertise and support with deep understanding of Bright Health’s products and markets

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ten (10) or more years of client management and/or program management in a healthcare setting
  • Prior Account Management and Team Management experience, serving as the primary client contact with executive sponsors and implementation leaders
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office products and advanced knowledge of MS Project and MS Visio and/or LucidCharts is required

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Previous health care experience, preferably in one of more of the following areas: provider systems, health plans, population health technology and MSOs, and/or ACOs and CINs
  • Experience and strong influential skills to manage cross-functional, virtual teams
  • Experience leading technical data, IT, and systems integrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and identify delivery risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize simultaneously
  • Demonstrated relationship management with large, complex customers and proven track record of effective relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform critical analysis of large, complex program implementations
  • Ability to effectively engage and interact with internal and external executive sponsors
  • Advanced time management, project management, and analytical skills
