Do you love to seek out problems, investigate solutions, and achieve outcomes? We are looking for a Sr Program Manager to join the Data, AI, Platforms & Systems ("DAPS") team at Expedia Group. Our mission is to enrich the EG customer experience by enabling our data and AI products and services across every line of business.  

 

In this role, you will report directly to the SVP & GM of DAPS, helping drive the execution and orchestration of critical initiatives. You will get a birds-eye view into strategic, cross-divisional workstreams and be exposed to many key areas across Expedia Group. What You’ll Do 

  • Manage daily execution for the SVP & GM of DAPS by driving orchestration and alignment for top initiatives. Partner with colleagues to drive operational and strategic alignment in these areas.  

  • Partner closely with the executive and contribute by prioritizing multiple objectives, curating content, and coordinating deadlines through other engineering leaders across EG. 

  • Leverage existing frameworks and create new, efficient processes that will effectively organize content, timelines and action items for the executive. 

  • Partner with leadership on strategic vision documents. Develop narratives for presentations and source content for slide curation. 

  • Work closely with the leadership team to understand the opportunities and challenges of the organization. Identify gaps and uncover solutions for the team that remove friction. 

  • Collaborate with our Communications, HR, Finance and Business Operations partners assigned to DAPS to support initiatives such as talent management, organizational health, forecasts and performance.  

 

Who you are 

  • Independent self-starter with organizational and analytical skills, coupled with interpersonal awareness and business insight. Driven by a sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement  

  • Effective communicator with the ability to establish relationships and facilitate strong partnerships with key internal business teams. Special focus on building bridges with the diverse business groups that support the Expedia Group organization (e.g., other business operation areas, HR, Recruiting, Finance) 

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and able achieve effective and timely results in an accelerated environment working across a variety of partners 

  • Strong process orientation with experience managing programs and/or projects and leading change from inception through delivery 

  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and drive complex product initiatives through other senior leaders and executives throughout the company 

  • 5+ years’ experience handling processes /programs in a highly matrixed environment within a technology organization; background that consists of program and/or strategy roles within a product and engineering organization  

  • Bachelor’s degree or proven experience
