Technical Project Manager​ – Austin, TX

A little more about this role:

  • Drive product development with a team of engineers (from concept to launch)
  • Oversee product-related projects/programs from design and development to production
  • Understand what our users need, and work with all the necessary team members to bring the product to life
  • Create prioritization system for features and tasks (e.g. Waterfall, RUP, Agile, Kanban)
  • Communicate with the Technical Development Team (e.g. engineers, software developers)
  • Translate between development and other departments, including Portfolio Managers, Investment Team, Operations, and the customer
  • Help with development and QA of new product features, create product positioning and messaging to resonate with our audience
  • Help to define the expected user outcome and business value of the product
  • Oversee and help with the QA testing of the product (e.g. find and track bugs and liaise with the development team)
  • Keep customer focus, driving a vision, and ensuring the product meets the market needs
  • Package the features into product releases
  • Help with defining resources and schedules for project/program implementation
  • Help with defining requirements and plan project life cycle deployment
  • Plan and schedule project deliverable's, goals and milestones

What you’ll need to have

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical experience (e.g. experience working on tech or design teams, building products)
  • 3-5 years of Project Management, Business Analysis and/or Product Management experience
  • Understanding of UX/UI development and design principles
  • Experience designing user interfaces (e.g. ability to create examples through wire frames and mock-ups if needed)
  • Understanding of the technical architecture of software/web applications
  • Experience working with technical developers (e.g. engineers, software developers)
  • Experience conveying complex technical/design information in simple, digestible formats to nontechnical employees/team members
