Technical Project Manager
Q2 is seeking a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in the agile development and release process for Q2’s Account opening R&D team. You will facilitate daily activities related to the execution of a sprint including stand-ups and sprint burn down; as well as maintain relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during a sprint. In this role you’ll own and resolve impediments in the development process and the release and delivery process. You’ll help build an environment where continuous deployment/ improvement of the development process is the focus and everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate product and development activities required to achieve sprint business milestones.
- Work closely with the product owner on sprint readiness activities
- Coordinate tasks related to the delivery of releases to the release management team and production support team.
- Coordinate the stabilization of software releases in production environments. Manage tickets through the troubleshooting and resolution process.
- Coordinate across teams within Q2 and teams outside of Q2 to ensure that development milestones are successfully executed and stabilized.
- Support development teams by removing the blockers from sprints. Drive, and document the resolution path
- Proactively manage risk to remove blockers before they occur.
- Must be a team player
Experience and Knowledge:
- 5+ years in a software project management
- Experience managing, controlling and tracking releases with successful delivery
- Proficient with common Scrum and Agile methodologies, values and procedures, including Kanban
- Experience with and knowledge of the following concepts and technologies:
- General knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
- Software Configuration Management
- Software Release Management
- Release notes and documentation processes
- Salesforce or other Case Management software
Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience required
Certification: CSM/CSPO Certification or PMI-ACP a plus
