We are looking for a skilled and motivated early-career QA Engineer with 2-5 years of experience testing high-impact code in collaborative team environments. You will collaborate closely with QA engineers, software engineers, and stakeholders to test and ensure the quality of our customer-facing software solutions.
You will be responsible for testing web applications, including conducting functional, exploratory, and integration testing. Additionally, you will maintain and update test documentation for the project, participate in the development of automated tests, and analyze test reports. You will collaborate with teams from related projects and work closely with developers, product, and designers to improve the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications
- Find and document defects clearly within Jira
- Verify resolution of defect fixes
- Work collaboratively with engineers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and requirements before release
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of QA processes and procedures
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role testing web interfaces
- Familiar with testing heuristics and test design principles
- Understand the principles of client-server architecture, software development processes, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Are proficient in DevTools
- Can write SQL queries or are familiar with MongoDB
- Have experience maintaining test documentation, including writing test cases and checklists
- Understand how to develop automated tests, preferably in Java, C#, or a scripting language
- Have good communication skills and can work in a fast-paced and flexible team
- Are capable of making independent decisions
