Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Recruiter with proven high-volume agency experience and a strong background in recruiting for General Contractors (GCs) and mission-critical construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical scopes, along with experience recruiting across industrial, commercial, and MEP trades. You’ll be responsible for full-cycle recruiting across a range of technical and field-based roles, from sourcing and outreach to offer negotiation. This role requires someone who can build strong pipelines, develop trusted relationships with hiring managers, and move fast to fill urgent, high-impact roles in the data center construction industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for construction, engineering, and project-based roles across the U.S.
- Proactively source and engage talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and niche industry networks
- Qualify candidates through resume screening and interviews, assessing for technical fit and site-readiness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and business stakeholders
- Drive recruitment campaigns for project-specific staffing efforts
- Own the offer and negotiation process in collaboration with leadership
- Maintain candidate records and pipelines in the ATS with attention to detail and compliance
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of high-volume agency recruiting experience, preferably in an agency or high-volume/staffing environment
- Proven track record recruiting in construction, mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or MEP-related sectors
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound prospecting strategies.
- Strong sourcing skills using Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other proactive outreach strategies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—you know how to build trust fast
- Experience managing fast-paced requisitions and meeting aggressive hiring goals
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and CRM tools
Preferred:
- Experience recruiting for hyperscale data center projects or mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with construction safety certifications and trades licensure (OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, Journeyman licenses, etc.).
- Previous experience working with Veteran hiring programs or diverse workforce initiatives.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position may operate in a combination of office, remote, and active construction site environments, depending on project assignment and business needs. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions safely and effectively in both professional and field conditions.
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain when on-site.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to travel to and between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and exposure to dust, noise, vibrations, and construction-related odors.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other personnel while maintaining situational awareness in high-activity environments.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots are required when visiting or working on active construction sites.
- This role requires visual acuity sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
