About the role:

Our customers turn to us for a Unified AI Platform so they don’t have to worry about building and maintaining complex infrastructure so they can focus on the business logic for their ML workloads. 


Anyscale’s Regional Sales Director will lead and manage our high-performing sales team and our sales operations within the SF Bay Area and beyond. 


This is an opportunity to partner with our leaders to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive revenue growth across digital natives and enterprises across all industries. 


Our customers are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in machine learning, and our sales team has incredible momentum to take advantage of a once-in-a-generation TAM.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with revenue targets

  • Be a champion of the Command of the Message sales methodology and sell the value that the Anyscale platform provides 

  • Act as a player-coach and lead by example; you are as comfortable generating pipeline as you are closing deals

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives

  • Set clear expectations, provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for major accounts within the region

  • Partner with Field Engineering, Marketing, Product, and Customer Support teams to develop initiatives that support sales growth

  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends to leadership

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams who drive complex, multi-persona, highly-technical sales, preferably using the Command of the Message framework 

  • Proven experience as a Sales Director, Regional Manager, or similar leadership role, with a track record of exceeding sales targets

  • Industry experience selling to ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, or similar personas 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel as needed within the region

  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
