The REO (Real Estate Owned) Closing Services Representative is responsible for all aspects of the REO closing process on assigned orders.  Review and coordinate all closing documents to ensure the REO closing process is complete.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review contract for pertinent information and verify data entry for accuracy.                                                  

  • Track title commitment for completion and perform review. Verify all items including payoffs, taxes, and HOA's. Verify all earnest funds and commissions.  Prepare settlement statement and closing documents and ensure accuracy.                                                     

  • Communicate with management, clients, and title curative team to ensure all documents necessary to clear title are obtained and all closing documents are approved to coordinate upcoming closing.                              

  • Confirm closing details, funds due at closing, funding, disbursement, and packaging.                                        

  • Ensure all client inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely professional manner and proper procedures are followed/noted in systems.  Escalate client issues to immediate supervisor.                                       

  • Coordination via email, phone and client’s operating system between all parties including, but not limited to real estate agents, buyer, lender, client and/or buyer title company.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

  • Degree Requirement: HS Diploma or GED

  • Work Experience: 2 or more years of prior work-related experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Require Minimum at least three years’ experience in REO Closing Services/Real Estate; High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word); Knowledge of client-based systems; Attention to detail; Motivated and positive team player; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to problem solve in a growing, expanding business; Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
