 Vyopta is currently seeking a full-time Sales Engineer to join our growing company. Vyopta is a SaaS monitoring and analytics company specializing in products for video collaboration networks. Headquartered on the greenbelt in Austin, Texas, Vyopta serves the leading financial, technology, healthcare, higher education, and government institutions globally. 

In this newly created role, we are looking for someone who thrives when working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. The Sales Engineer must be able to seamlessly articulate technology and product positioning during the pre-sales process. Additionally, this person will work in collaboration with customer success as well as account executives. 

The Vyopta sales team is a high energy group of people who love their craft, enjoy meeting and exceeding goals, and look to push the boundaries of traditional B2B sales. We are looking to become even better by adding a technical, sales-minded and dynamic team member to our group. Individuals without direct unified communications industry experience need not apply. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales in a pre-sales technical role and deliver in-depth product demonstrations; ability to support 3-4 sales reps at a time.
  • Showcase Vyopta solution and how it solves critical problems/challenges faced by the customer and facilitate technical Q&A.
  • Develop demos and presentations to highlight Vyopta’s capabilities for specific use cases. 
  • Prepare technical documents and respond to technical questionnaires (i.e., IT, security, network) as required.
  • Accurately document customer feedback (e.g., technical needs, product issues, feature requests) and convey to product management team.
  • Responsible for representing the product at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to ~20% within sales territory.
  • Produce and continually maintain support material and technical understanding of Vyopta solution and competitive products.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related professional industry experience, including at least 2 years of sales engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. 
  • Strong UC domain knowledge and sales engineering experience with Cisco Unified Collaboration Manager (UCM) as well as other elements of the Cisco UC technology stack.
  • Experience with deployments in large enterprises.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing/interpreting customer requirements.
  • A competitive drive to meet and exceed individual and team targets.

Nice to Haves

  • Sales engineering experience with Microsoft Skype for Business supporting voice and video at large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with Vyopta products.
  • Enterprise software startup experience.

We are located off South 360, on the beautiful Barton Creek Greenbelt in south Austin.
