Sales Manager

Position OverviewuShip is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a full time Commercial Sales Manager, Inside Sales. This individual will build and manage a high-performing, state of the art inside sales team and be responsible for driving revenue for the uShip Commercial business. The Inside Sales team moves leads through the initial sales process, qualifies and calls on leads, orchestrates product demos, converts accounts, updates the CRM, and transitions accounts to onboarding and customer success. The Commercial Sales Manager will be in charge of driving revenue for uShip Commercial customers and offerings, building, managing and evolving the inside sales process and operation, building and managing a high-performing team. This is an entrepreneurial sales role, where the Commercial Sales Manager will actively work under the direction and guidance of uShip’s Director of Commercial Sales, as well as other departments including Executive Leadership, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams to agilely determine what offerings can most easily be sold and to what segments, as well as funneling feedback from customers and prospects back to the organization.
Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue for uShip Commercial offerings and meet company and leadership defined targets
  • Build, manage and evolve a state of the industry technology-enabled Inside Sales Team
  • Design, execute and improve the sales operation including product and segment targeting, sales pitch, sales process, and team operations
  • Roll up sleeves as a player coach, directly selling and closing prospects, demoing the product, etc.
  • Work closely with uShip Leadership, Product, Marketing and Customer Success organizations to formulate, execute and improve sales strategy, success and learnings
  • Effectively articulate the uShip value proposition and vision.
  • Ability to easily and effectively communicate with a wide range of business owners and executives.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and meet aggressive goals and be able to forecast accurately in financial models.

 Requirements

  • A combination of at least 3+ years in proven successful phone sales & lead generation team experience
  • Proven successful experience in rapidly building and managing high-performing technology inside sales teams to 25+ reps
  • Proven experience in designing, executing and evolving high-performing sales operations including commission plans, sales processes, segment targeting and sales automation tools
  • Experience with state of the art sales automation tools including CRM solutions, marketing automation solutions, lead list providers, etc.
  • Candidate should be very technology and web-savvy, experienced with the latest tools and sites
  • Experience selling a transactional based web solution or SaaS-based technology solutions a plus
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams a plus
  • Experience being a player/coach to new team members
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, be self-motivated and driven
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Strong Oral & Written Communication skills
  • Background in logistics or transportation
  • Bachelor’s degree, desired
