Account Director
RetailMeNot is looking for a high-energy, detailed seller that is looking to join our dynamic & challenging Retail and Brand Solutions team. You will report to the Director of Retail & Brand Solutions and be a key contributor in the sales process. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new retail/brand customers, manage an assigned book of managed merchants, partner with networks and agencies to ensure overall success of client goals, and assist in the development media plans to meet client’s needs.
This is an excellent selling opportunity for you to help drive new account growth and collaborate with new and emerging business across a wide swath of merchant verticals. A successful RetailMeNot Account Director will build relationships cross functionally, will live the RetailMeNot core values, and have a real passion for client success!
Who You Are
- Minimum 4 years of experience required in online media sales, account management or business development
- Experience in owning quota for a book of business
- Proven track record of success in hitting sales targets & goals
- Experience in the retail/ merchant B2C e-commerce sectors or digital advertising sectors
- Strong knowledge of and experience in online advertising/ e-commerce/ offline commerce
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
- Able to develop and execute business development plans that will achieve revenue targets
- Exceptional ability to develop and deliver client ready presentations
- Self-motivated and enjoy working in a dynamic and results driven environment
- Strategic thinker with the ability to use market knowledge and partner feedback to improve product and service offerings
- Polished, engaging and persuasive communicator that is comfortable presenting at the VP level & higher
- Structured problem solver with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment & lead attainment of quarterly goals and objectives
- 30% - 50% travel required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, liberal arts or communications from a four-year college or university
What You'll Do
- Build relationships with RetailMeNot’s RBS customers within assigned book of business
- Understand & effectively communicate the value of RMN products & services
- Summarize and present benefits of strategic partnership & marketing initiatives to merchants
- Achieve quarterly revenue and business line targets
- Prospect for new business relationships
- Manage complete sales cycle process for all assigned accounts within your assigned book of business
- Forecast & track activity within Salesforce & other CRM tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with RetailMeNot teams to provide product & competitive insights as well as achieve goals for your assigned book of business
